School Chaplaincy Resources

As well as supporting real-life practice we support practitioners to see their work in a broader context. In this collection of clips Rev Sandy Fraser, convener of the Church of Scotland’s Committee on Education offers his views on the role and work of the School Chaplain within the broader educational setting of the school. He illustrates some of his points with real-life stories of his work as a chaplain in primary and secondary schools. These clips are also available on Youtube at the Ceascotland Channel. For more information on any of the ideas or activities featured here, contact and we’ll put you in touch.

WORKED EXAMPLE: ‘THE BIG QUESTION’ Sandy Fraser describes an event held in a school where he is chaplain, which allowed pupils to ask questions which were relevant to them and to hear answers from people from a range of faith perspectives.
